Boasting a world-class championship golf course, the Hyatt Regency Coolum plays host to the annual Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship. Designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, the 72 par 6263-metre course offers a golfing challenge through contrasting landscapes, from coastal holes by the Pacific Ocean to manicured fairways through native bushland.

But passionate golfers have other courses to choose from including the championship Twin Waters golf course in nearby Pacific Paradise. And there’s a huge range of apartment and resort accommodation at Coolum, Mudjimba and Marcoola.

Each Spring, the skies above Coolum come alive with colour for the IGA Coolum Kite Festival. Attracting talented international kite flyers, artists and musicians, this event is one that whole family can enjoy.  For the best view in town, climb the magnificent Mount Coolum and take in the 360 degree views of the Sunshine Coast.
